UPDATE: Went back for a dinnertime visit. ALMOST everything was as good as the first time, EXCEPT karaoke was painfully loud most of the time Lost a star for this. Conversation was mostly impossible. Karaoke is fine, but I'm such a small venue, be realistic. Brandon was great - while he was serving a pretty heavy crowd, he kept attention on the table, too. The young lady working as a server and behind the bar was WONDERFUL: great personality, helpful, gave us a good introduction for us 1st timers, and quick service, too. The food was very good, too.

We ordered delivery from GL Shacks and their food was AMAZING! I had a California Club with homemade chips and it was more than you could even think to ask for ! My husband ordered a Reuben and said it was delicious as well

My review of GL Shacks in Eldersburg MD. The good, the bad and the summary. The Good I was in the Princess Shopping Center to pick up my wedding band and when I finished up it was about lunch time, so I decided to pop into GL Shacks for a bite to eat which was next door to the jewelry store. I ordered a cheesesteak sub with fries and a side of coleslaw. The cheesesteak roll was very soft and fresh, as were the other ingredients that complimented the sandwich. The coleslaw was freshly made as well but it wasn’t quite to my liking. Absolutely nothing wrong with it, just wasn’t the type of coleslaw that I prefer but others should try it as it may be your style. The Bad The fries appeared to not be fresh cut fries, but out of a freezer bag. Which is ok, however the frying oil that they were fried in seemed to be a bit old and gave the fries a stale taste. The Summary The GL Shack cheesesteak sub was very good and well presented. If you like cheesesteak sub’s I definitely recommend that you try this one. The coleslaw was ok, but like I said just not my style, but please try and make your own assessment. The fries were ok as well but could be better with fresh frying oil. The one thing I really appreciated is that they had music playing in the background, but it was not too loud, and you didn’t have to shout to have a conversation. So many establishments don’t understand this, which degrades from the dining experience. Overall, I give GL Shacks 4 out of 5 stars.

I just came for drinks and to enjoy our visit together. I noticed when I first came in, and for 15-20 minutes, that there was cold air coming in from the back of the bar and grill. It was freezing outside, but the air wasn't coming from the front. I eventually ordered a warm drink and hot tea to warm up. I tasted my friends' drinks, beer, sours, and wine. All was good, and the bartenders' service was excellent. Both were attentive and checked in regularly to ensure we didn't need anything.

Personally I really enjoy the vibe of this place It’s quiet during the day, and bustling in the evenings Great karaoke spot It’s perfect for hitting it hard after a week at work, and the fish tacos are always stellar

Went in on a Friday evening. Food was delicious and reasonably priced. Our waitress was training a new server, both ladies were very pleasant and attentive! We will certainly be returning!

Stopped by for lunch the other day and was pleasantly surprised. I ordered a turkey club sandwich that came with fries and a pickle. The club was HUGE and tasted very fresh and the portion of fries was very generous, all for only $9. Definitely will be stopping back.
